Fire TV

How Does It Work?

With your Fire TV remote or Alexa, you can search for your favorite video, events, or channel and watch at your convenience. Additionally, you can still apply the same procedure to search out your favorite photos, hotels, learning materials, and shops.

Silk works the same way it does in Fire TV. Users can browse for their most preferred websites and get access to view what they love most; be it food stores, clothe boutiques, hotels, car dealers, and many more products. Using Silk on Echo Show enables the user to easily find their interests since the browser does filtering too. You can also save your bookmarks on Echo Show for easy future access to the website.

Silk on Fire Tablet

Merits

a) Convenience On Other Websites

b) It Is Faster Than Other Browsers

c) Storage Friendly

Normally, when surfing the internet, the device used requires enough space to host the caches and cookies of the website for performance. However, the case is different with Silk since all the web operations are performed in the cloud. This helps to reduce the Fire TV’s or Tablet space, making them perform even faster.

  1. Predictive Technology

Demerits

a) Insecurity Concerns

b) Untrustworthy Web Browser

While it is stated well in its privacy policy that the company does not share users’ information with any other third party, the statement is not trustworthy at all. All this is subject to change especially when the user’s data are required for legal investigation by a government agency.

  1. Is it possible to back up my Silk settings and bookmarks?

Yes, you can backup your data using your Fire Table by enabling the Backup and Restore features on your device.

Cookies are small files stored on your device that help you to keep logged in to your account, as well as give you the most critical data you may need on your Silk account.

Yes, and this is done by removing all private tabs from your Silk browser history immediately after they have been closed.
