If you delete your account, any messages you have sent or received will be deleted. Your friends will not be notified that you have deleted your account.
When you permanently deactivate Kik, all the messages you’ve sent and received will be deleted.
Kik takes up to 24 hours to deactivate an account. This is due to the fact that Kik uses a process called “self-destructing messages” which deletes all messages on the device after 24 hours.
Kik is a proprietary chat app that only allows you to access messages for as long as your account is active. You can export your messages to an archive by going to Settings > Chat Settings > Export Chat Archive.
Kik does not automatically delete pictures. You can set it to do so, but you have to go into the settings and turn it on.

Kik does not track IP addresses, meaning that it does not know what IP address you are coming from. Kik messages are encrypted end-to-end, meaning that messages cannot be read by anyone but the sender and recipient. Additionally, messages expire after a few minutes of being seen by the recipient.
