If you have created an email address and have logged in on the same device, you may recover your account. All of your friends, groups, and chat history will be erased once this occurs. If you have not established an email address, your account will be canceled.

To reactivate your account, open LINE Pay and input your passcode on the passcode entry screen. If you’ve forgotten your passcode, see here for information. You won’t be able to reactivate the account yourself if you haven’t established a LINE Pay password.

Backing up and restoring chat history is simple: Simply open the LINE app on your Android device, go to its Settings Chats, and choose the option to backup and restore chat history.

LINE reserves the right to delete any Account that has been inactive for a period of one year or more since its last activation, without any prior notice to the relevant User. Each Account in the Service is for exclusive use and belongs solely to the User of such Account.

Uninstalling or deleting the LINE app will not delete your account. If you registered your email address to LINE, you will no longer be able to access it via the LINE for PC software. Even if you reinstall LINE, you won’t be able to move your account since data cannot be recovered from a deleted account.
