If you delete your Kik account, your username will be removed from the app and other applications. Your username will not be available for others to use. You can always create a new Kik account if you want to use the app again in the future.
Kik does not delete conversations. It deletes the app from your phone, but it will keep all of your chats on their servers. If you want to keep your chats, you’ll need to download Kik again.
You can tell if someone has deactivated their Kik account by looking at the person’s profile. If you see a message that says “This user is inactive” then it means they have deactivated their account.

To temporarily deactivate Kik, you can sign out of the app. To sign out of Kik, tap on your profile picture in the top right corner and then tap ‘Sign Out.
Kik does not automatically delete pictures. To delete a photo, tap and hold on to the image until it starts shaking. Drag it to the trash can at the bottom of the screen.
Messages on Kik are only available for 30 days. If you want to keep them longer, you can export them to your phone or computer.
Kik messages are stored for up to 48 hours after they are sent. If you want to delete your messages, you can do so by going into the Settings menu and selecting “Clear chat history.
A deleted Kik account will appear as if it never existed. You can no longer chat, send or receive messages, or use any other of the app’s features.
When someone blocks you on Kik, they are preventing you from seeing their messages or contact info. You can still send them messages, but they will not be delivered unless the person unblocks you.
