No. When you delete a follower from your Instagram account, they are not notified. The only way they would learn is if they go to look at your profile and discover the active Follow button. They will also be unable to access your photos or Stories if your profile is set to private.
If you follow the steps outlined above, your Instagram account will be removed immediately. This is not the case on Facebook, where your account is disabled for two weeks before being queued for deletion, which can take up to 90 days (about 104 days in total).
