Clicking “Delete Account” or leaving Grindr will remove all of the following:

• Private profile information (including photos)

• Location-based preferences (filter and distance) from other users (you may continue to see location-based preferences of people who are currently nearby). This includes Avatars, thumbnail pictures and user names.

• Pending and recent chat sessions with other users (you will only be able to re-send messages that you recently sent).

Deleting an account does not remove:

• Grindr app from your device. If you delete the application from your device all personal data associated with your account remains on the device.

• Private profile information and photos from other devices where Grindr is installed(if you close Grindr app on one device it may still appear on another). Be aware that a previous version of Grindr may have been saved/stored by default in some Apps such as iTunes or Android Cloud services. This would include Avatars, thumbnail pictures and user names.

To completely remove Grindr from your device, delete the application and select Reset App Preferences. This resets all settings including location-based preferences, display name, email address and password.

Information will be removed in a period of time determined by device type (see below). You may check the progress within your account section under “Settings””Privacy Settings”.
